I'm putting together a new PC with an ASUS TUF B850-PLUS Gaming Wi-Fi motherboard, Ryzen 7 7800X3D, and a G.Skill Flare X5 64GB DDR5-6000 CL30 kit (F5-6000J3040G32GX2-FX5). The kit supports AMD EXPO and Intel XMP. However, the motherboard compatibility checker on the manufacturer's website says this specific memory kit isn't supported, and I couldn't find it listed on G.Skill's tested compatibility information either. The rest of the build includes a Gigabyte graphics card, a WD Black SN7100 2TB SSD, a 1200W power supply, a Thermalright Peerless Assassin 120 SE cooler, and a Fractal Design Epoch XL case. Will the RAM probably work anyway, or will I need to do anything special in the BIOS? I'd prefer to keep it because I got the 64GB kit for a good price.

It will very likely work. A motherboard QVL is only a list of memory kits the manufacturer specifically tested; if your exact part number isn’t listed, that usually means it wasn’t tested, not that it’s incompatible. Install the two sticks in the recommended dual-channel slots, boot the system, and then enable the AMD EXPO profile in the BIOS if it doesn’t run at DDR5-6000 automatically. If the system isn’t stable at first, update the BIOS and try a slightly lower memory speed.
That makes sense. The memory manufacturer also doesn’t list this exact board, so it may simply be a kit they haven’t validated together. I’ll try it first and use EXPO after confirming the system boots.
