My desktop powers off suddenly with no warning, and replacing the power supply did not resolve it. The system can turn back on afterward, but sometimes it shuts down again within a few seconds. There does not appear to be a power problem in the house. The current hardware is an AMD Ryzen 9 7900X3D, NVIDIA GeForce RTX 4070, ASUS ROG STRIX B650-A GAMING WIFI motherboard, two 32 GB Team Group DDR5-4800 memory modules, and a Cooler Master V750 SFX Gold power supply. What should I check next?

Since changing the PSU made no difference, I’d start with the memory and motherboard connections. Remove and reseat both RAM sticks, then test with one stick at a time in the recommended slot. Also check that the CPU cooler is mounted properly, the CPU temperature isn’t spiking, and all motherboard and GPU power cables are firmly connected. If it still shuts down within seconds, try booting with only the essential components connected and inspect for a short or loose connection.
A complete power swap makes a wall-power or faulty-PSU issue less likely, though it’s still worth using a different AC cable and outlet to rule out the basics. Sudden power-offs followed by another shutdown usually point more toward overheating, unstable memory settings, a motherboard fault, or a short than a normal software crash. Check temperatures in the BIOS and temporarily disable EXPO or any other memory overclocking settings.
Clean out dust and make sure the CPU cooler fan or pump is actually running. A CPU that immediately reaches its thermal limit can shut the system down without producing a useful error message. If temperatures look normal, reset the BIOS to default settings and test with the minimum hardware installed.
