Hey everyone, my computer has been really hot lately, so I took a break and removed the window from my case. While I had it off, I reached in to check the GPU temperature by touching the top of the GPU frame. I'm worried that I accidentally touched the chip itself. Now, when I try to turn on my computer, both monitors show a no signal error, and I feel really stupid about it. Is it possible I fried my GPU just by doing that? The LED on the card still lights up, but I'm really concerned since I only moved my computer to a different spot to help with heat dissipation. Any advice?

What GPU are you using? And have you updated your drivers? A lot of people run into issues with the new Nvidia cards, so it might be worth checking that out.
Honestly, the chances of you damaging your GPU just by touching it are pretty slim. It sounds more like a software issue or something else that needs a reset. Your GPU might be just fine!
I’ve already reset it like ten times, but I keep getting the same no DisplayPort signal error, even though everything is plugged in properly.
First things first, make sure you turn off your computer and flip the power supply switch to off. Wait a few seconds, then flip it back and try turning on your PC again. This might reset some things.
I just tried using the DisplayPort cable from my first monitor into the motherboard, and it worked! But the second monitor that’s connected to the GPU doesn’t seem to work with both plugged in... what gives?
It’s a 7900 XT.
