How Can I Install Wi‑Fi Drivers During Windows Setup on a New PC?

I just built a new PC with a Ryzen 7 9800X3D, 32 GB of DDR5-6400 memory, a Gigabyte B850 Eagle WiFi 7 motherboard, an Asus Radeon 9060 XT graphics card, and a 512 GB NVMe SSD. Windows installs normally until it reaches the step requiring an internet connection, but the wireless adapter isn't detected and I can't install the network drivers. What's the easiest way to get through setup and install the correct Wi‑Fi drivers?

If you have an Ethernet cable, connect the PC directly to your router temporarily. Windows may get online with a built-in driver, and Windows Update can then install the Wi‑Fi drivers automatically. Afterward, you can download the latest drivers from the motherboard manufacturer’s support page.

You can download the Wi‑Fi driver from the motherboard manufacturer’s website using your phone, then connect the phone to the PC with a USB cable and copy the installer over. If your phone supports USB tethering, that may be even easier because the PC can use the phone’s mobile data connection to download the driver directly.
