Is This PC Build Worth the Money for 3D Modeling, Editing, and Game Development?

I'm planning a new PC mainly for 3D modeling, video editing, game development, and college work. I put together a parts list, but the total comes to about $3,193.42 including tax in the US. I'll have around $2,700 available next month, so I need to reduce the cost or figure out which upgrades can wait. My current computer struggles with these tasks, and I want the best performance possible without wasting money. Are there any overpriced, unnecessary, or poorly matched parts I should replace?

For a budget this tight, prioritize components that directly affect your workloads and treat cosmetic upgrades as optional. Use a basic case with good airflow, fewer RGB fans, and a non-overkill cooler. You can always add nicer fans or upgrade the appearance later, while getting the core hardware right now will make a much bigger difference.

Thanks—what parts would you recommend swapping first to bring the total closer to my current budget?

The main issue seems to be spending too much on appearance rather than performance. Fancy fans and a premium CPU cooler can add a lot to the price without improving rendering, editing, or game-development performance. A more reasonably priced cooler should be enough, and many coolers include thermal paste already. Put the savings toward the CPU, GPU, RAM, or storage instead, depending on the parts list.

That’s exactly why I’m asking—I don’t actually have $3,000 available right now. I picked parts based on suggestions I found, so I’m looking for specific areas where I can cut the price without hurting performance.
