What GPU should I get for 1080p gaming with a Ryzen 7 3700X and 600W PSU?

I'm using a Ryzen 7 3700X, 16GB of RAM, and a 600W power supply. I'm looking for a graphics card mainly for 1080p gaming, especially open-world and building games. It doesn't need to be a high-end card, but I'd like to maintain around 60 FPS in most games at medium settings without dropping to very low quality. I'm mainly concerned about CPU bottlenecks, power requirements, and getting good value rather than buying the most powerful option.

The Ryzen 7 3700X can bottleneck much faster GPUs in some games, especially at 1080p, so I wouldn’t spend money on something like an RX 9070 XT. That would be overkill for your resolution and a questionable match for a 600W power supply. Midrange cards are the better balance here.

Exactly—some CPU limitation is possible with newer midrange cards, but it shouldn’t be a major issue if your target is 60 FPS and you’re playing at medium settings.

The final choice depends heavily on local prices. Compare a new RTX 5060 or RX 9060 XT against used RTX 3060 Ti and RX 6600 XT listings. Just check the exact power connectors, card condition, and whether your 600W PSU is a decent-quality unit before buying.

If you’re willing to buy used, look for an RX 6600 XT or RTX 3060 Ti. Either should be capable of roughly 60 FPS at 1080p in most games with medium settings, while keeping power draw much more appropriate for a 600W PSU.
