This is my first time putting together a gaming PC, so I'd appreciate any constructive feedback. I'm aiming for 1440p gaming and currently have these parts selected: a Gigabyte GS27QA 27-inch 1440p 180Hz monitor ($199.99), AMD Ryzen 7 5700X processor ($289.99), Gigabyte B550M Gaming X WiFi 6 motherboard ($114.99), 32GB of GeIL Orion RGB DDR4-3200 CL18 memory ($219.99), Asus Dual RTX 3060 12GB graphics card ($653.39), Seasonic Focus GM-650 650W Gold power supply ($258.29), Samsung 9100 Pro 1TB PCIe 5.0 NVMe SSD ($274.97), and a DIYPC ARGB-N3-BK case with four ARGB fans ($84.99). Are there any compatibility concerns, and where could I save money or improve performance?

The parts generally make sense for a first 1440p gaming build, and 32GB of RAM is a solid choice for longevity. If you need to reduce the budget, 16GB would still work for many games, although 32GB is preferable. A cheaper Gen4 SSD is probably the easiest place to cut costs without affecting the gaming experience much.

The PCIe 5.0 SSD is excessive for this system and you won’t be able to take full advantage of its performance with these parts. A good PCIe 4.0 drive, such as the WD Black SN7100, should be much cheaper and will still feel extremely fast for gaming and everyday use.

Thanks for the suggestion—I’ll look into a less expensive PCIe 4.0 SSD.
