I'm planning to upgrade my current gaming PC, which has a Ryzen 5 3600, MSI B450 Tomahawk Max, 32GB of DDR4-3200 memory, an RTX 2070, a 1TB Samsung 970 EVO Plus NVMe SSD, a 1TB SATA SSD, a 750W Seasonic Focus Plus Gold PSU, and an NZXT H510 case. The proposed upgrade is a Ryzen 7 9800X3D, 32GB of DDR5-6000 CL30 memory, a Gigabyte B850M Gaming X WiFi motherboard, and a Gigabyte RX 9060 XT 16GB. The total cost would be around €1,300. I mainly play Escape from Tarkov and Total War: Warhammer III at 1440p. Would I need to replace anything else for these parts to work together, and is this combination a good value?

The 9800X3D is a very strong gaming CPU, but pairing it with an RX 9060 XT may not make the best use of the budget. You could consider a less expensive X3D processor and put the savings toward a stronger graphics card, such as an RX 9070 XT. The price difference is roughly €200–€300, so it depends on how much performance you want at 1440p.
The RX 9060 XT is generally better suited to 1080p, especially if you want high settings and strong frame rates in demanding games. For 1440p, a higher-tier GPU would be a more balanced match for the 9800X3D and should provide a bigger improvement than spending so much on the CPU alone.

The stronger graphics card would add about €300 in my case. I’m wondering whether the improvement would really justify that extra cost.
