How can I fix the “Failed to verify the signature of the elevation helper” error in FiveM?

FiveM shows the message "Failed to verify the signature of the elevation helper" every time I try to launch it. I've already disabled Windows Defender and my antivirus, cleared the FiveM cache, deleted the FiveM.app folder, removed the DigitalEntitlements folder and ros_id.dat, verified GTA V's files through the launcher, disabled "Run as administrator," set UAC to "Never notify," and run sfc /scannow. None of these steps helped, and I'm not sure what else to try.

There wasn’t a confirmed fix in the replies, but another person reported starting to see the same error recently. That points more toward a damaged or blocked FiveM installation than an issue with your GTA V files. Try downloading the latest installer from the official FiveM website, remove the existing FiveM installation completely, reboot Windows, and reinstall it. Also check that your system date and time are correct and that Windows is fully updated, since signature verification can fail when certificates or system components are outdated.
