How long should I wait before using my laptop after a small ramen spill?

I accidentally spilled a small amount of ramen water on roughly one-fifth of my keyboard, from the left side toward the D key. I immediately shut down the laptop, unplugged it, removed the keycaps, and wiped everything I could reach. It's a Lenovo Legion laptop, and I need it for studying, so I'm wondering how long I should wait before turning it back on and how to know whether the inside is dry.

Since it’s a gaming laptop, assume liquid may have gotten beneath the keyboard even if the spill looked minor. Keep it off for a full 48 hours, then inspect for moisture, sticky residue, or a ramen smell before testing it. If it turns on but shows keyboard, charging, or display problems, shut it down again and have it cleaned rather than repeatedly trying it.

Don’t turn it on just because the surface feels dry. Leave the laptop powered off and disconnected from its charger for at least 24–48 hours, preferably opened and positioned like an upside-down tent so liquid can drain away from the motherboard. Avoid hair dryers or direct heat. Ramen water can leave salt and oil behind, so if any reached inside, drying alone may not prevent corrosion; professional cleaning is safest.

There’s no reliable way to confirm the inside is completely dry without opening the laptop farther. If you can safely disconnect the battery, do that, but don’t risk opening it if you’re unfamiliar with laptop repairs.
