How Can I Estimate Microsoft 365 Renewal Costs?

I'm managing a client's Microsoft 365 Business subscriptions and need to prepare a reliable cost estimate for renewing the existing licenses. Previous invoices are easy to find, but the portal doesn't make the upcoming renewal pricing obvious. Several tools suggest turning off automatic renewal to reveal the price, but that feels risky when the goal is simply to budget accurately. Is there a way to view the expected per-license renewal cost or generate a pro-forma estimate directly from the admin portal?

I’m specifically trying to price the renewal of the existing licenses. The standard product prices don’t seem to show what the account will actually be charged at renewal, which is the part that’s difficult to budget for.

The billing overview and invoice list should show the account’s current subscriptions and previous charges. For a firm renewal figure, though, the portal may require recurring billing to be disabled temporarily before it reveals the next per-unit price. It’s frustrating that there isn’t a straightforward pro-forma invoice for an existing account.

It depends on whether you’re pricing new subscriptions or renewing existing ones. The product pages show the normal per-license prices, but the renewal total may not be displayed as clearly. The billing and invoice area is the first place I’d check for the current subscription details.

In my case, I had to turn off recurring billing and wait around 20 minutes before the portal displayed the renewal price per license. The amount shown excluded tax, but it was enough to prepare an estimate. The annual renewal total was also just the monthly price multiplied by twelve, so there didn’t appear to be an annual-payment discount.
