I'm putting together a gaming PC primarily for my wife to play Diablo 4, as she prefers it over her work laptop. Having built several machines before for coding and servers, this is my first time doing a gaming setup and I could use some feedback on my parts list. I chose components that should run the game well enough without needing super high-quality settings. Here's the build:
- **CPU:** AMD Ryzen 7 7800X3D 4.2 GHz 8-Core Processor - $387.83
- **CPU Cooler:** Thermalright Phantom Spirit 120 SE ARGB - $37.90
- **Motherboard:** Gigabyte B650M GAMING PLUS WIFI - $139.99
- **Memory:** Corsair Vengeance RGB 32 GB DDR5-6000 - $94.99
- **Storage:** Crucial P3 Plus 500 GB NVME SSD - $39.99
- **Video Card:** XFX Speedster SWFT 210 Radeon RX 7600 XT 16 GB - $419.99
- **Case:** Thermaltake View 170 ARGB - $86.25
- **Power Supply:** Thermaltake Toughpower GF2 ARGB 650 W - $110.20
- **Keyboard & Mouse:** Logitech MK470 - $39.99

**Total:** $1357.13

Are there any changes you'd suggest? Also, I'm unsure how to paste this list to make it readable!

I suggest going for a CL30 memory for performance, and just a heads up—500GB storage might fill up quickly! Also, wireless peripherals can introduce lag, so maybe look for wired options instead.

You could run Diablo 4 at 4K ultra with this setup and still get great FPS. It may feel a bit excessive for just one game, though, so think about whether she’ll use the power for other titles too!

Honestly, this build is a bit overkill for Diablo 4. You'd easily handle AAA games too. But if your wife just wants to enjoy D4, you could simplify this a bit.

Definitely seems like overkill. If gaming is the main focus, consider reducing the specs a bit for a more balanced setup.

The motherboard choice isn’t great, and RGB RAM might not be necessary. Also, a 1TB SSD would provide more space without a huge cost difference. Consider optimizing the CPU-GPU combo to improve performance. Here's a build I recommend: [Better Build Link](https://pcpartpicker.com/list/FfKLKq).

If you splurge on an X3D CPU, make sure to pair it with a solid GPU like the 7900 XT or 9070 XT. The GPU is critical for a good gaming experience!

Agreed! A strong GPU will really help keep things smooth in D4 and beyond.
