Hey everyone! I'm building a compact mATX PC using an old Ryzen 5950X, and I initially picked a Noctua NH L9x65 cooler. Unfortunately, I'm seeing temperatures spike to 90°C when 2 or more cores are fully loaded, which seems pretty concerning. My current cooler's dimensions are 95mm x 95mm, but I could go taller—up to about 145mm in height. I'm using a Jonsbo UMX3 case, which can accommodate CPU coolers up to 163mm tall, but I want to keep it under 145mm to avoid any clearance issues with the side panel. Any recommendations for a more effective CPU cooler?

Just curious, what’s the 95mm x 95mm restriction for in your mATX case? Also, which case are you working with?
It's important to know the height restrictions based on your specific case! You should be able to find that info on the manufacturer's site.
It's a Jonsbo UMX3.
