My TECHPLAY QT62BT compact stereo CD player used to work normally, but after moving back to my dorm it began shutting off after the first song. It now sometimes powers down immediately when I skip tracks or when a song finishes, and the display may flash before shutting off. The problem happens with several different CDs, so it does not appear to be caused by the discs. The unit does not feel warm, the lid sensor seems fine, there are no Bluetooth devices connected, and removing the remote batteries did not help. Since the radio is now showing the same flashing and skipping behavior, this probably is not a CD, laser, or track-skipping issue. It sounds more like a power problem or an internal electronics failure. Check that the power cord and adapter are firmly connected and, if possible, try a known-good compatible adapter with exactly the same voltage, polarity, and sufficient current rating. Also try a different wall outlet. If it still shuts down in multiple modes, the internal power supply, capacitors, or main control board may be failing. For a compact all-in-one unit, replacement or warranty service is likely more practical than repair.
