I've run out of space on my phone and upgraded its storage, but I don't want to spend any more money. I'm considering using a USB flash drive to transfer my videos and pictures from my computer so I can delete them off my phone. However, I'm a bit worried about the reliability of a single USB drive. I've heard that they aren't really dependable and that it's wise to have a backup for backups. Would a USB drive be okay if I kept it securely in a box in my closet?

Using a USB drive is fine, but I recommend having at least two copies of your data. If you're deleting files off your phone, consider getting two USB drives instead. Remember, 'Two is one, and one is none!'
It's true that drives can fail or get lost. Following the 3-2-1 backup rule is a good practice: have three copies of your data, on two different types of media, and keep one copy off-site. So, I wouldn’t rely on just one USB drive.
Exactly! It's super important to power up drives at least once a year to check they're still working. You don’t want to find out too late that your data is corrupted!
