Is the 7600 XT a solid choice for 1080p gaming in 2025?

I'm considering getting a new GPU in the range of £300-350 and primarily play games at 1080p with high settings. I already have a 5700X3D processor, and I'm wondering if the 7600 XT with its 16GB VRAM is a wise investment for gaming in the upcoming years. What do you think?

If you're sticking to 1080p and don't plan on upgrading your monitor, 8GB might actually be sufficient. VRAM is mostly a concern for higher resolutions, so you'll be fine for now.

That’s not entirely accurate. VRAM usage tends to increase with new games, and with next-gen consoles coming out, the demand for more VRAM is definitely going up.

You might want to hold off and see what the 9060 XT brings to the table. Given the current situation, more units might end up in Europe instead of the U.S., so that could be an option to consider soon.

Yeah, the 9060 XT is definitely on my radar too. I’m hesitant about going with NVIDIA after their 8GB launches, so I’ll wait to see how that turns out.

Have you looked into the Arc B580? It's cheaper than the 7600 XT in the UK and offers comparable performance. Might be worth checking out.

I did consider it, but I've heard about some driver issues with Intel and there are reports of problems with screensharing. Plus, I feel like 16GB would be better for future-proofing.
