My PC is running really slow, and I'm wondering if I should consider upgrading parts or just replace the whole system. Here are my current specs: Ryzen 3700x 8-core CPU, 16GB of RAM, and a 3070 Ti graphics card, all on an ASRock X470 Taichi motherboard. What do you think?

You have a few options! You could upgrade your CPU to a 5600X, 5700X, or even the 5800X3D. There’s also the potential to improve your GPU later on. Alternatively, if you’re looking at budget, you might just want to sell your current rig and start with a fresh setup that better suits your resolutions and frame rate goals.

Honestly, it might be wise to start saving up. Consider a clean Windows reinstall to eliminate any malware—also think about adding more RAM. With a little patience, you can wait for new hardware to come out, especially if you're looking to upgrade your entire setup down the line. For now, your GPU and SSD can be reused until you figure out what you want long-term!

That's a smart plan! Reusing components makes sense, especially if you invest in future-proofing your system.

Where exactly are you noticing slowness? Is it during gaming, or just general use? Also, do you have an NVMe SSD? Running out of RAM could be a factor too, so it's worth checking into that!

I upgraded to the 5700X3D recently, and it’s been fantastic. I plan to stick with my AM4 setup until AM6 becomes available, so it's a good upgrade path!

If you're thinking about upgrading, going for a Ryzen 5700X3D could give you a solid boost for gaming performance. It's definitely worth considering!
