I received an email saying that my Visa card ending in 3581 was added to an Apple Account I don't recognize and cannot access. I never added the card there or authorized anyone else to use it, and I've also noticed an unrecognized £10 Apple transaction in my bank account. My bank told me to contact the retailer before disputing the payment, but I haven't been able to find a clear way to reach Apple. What should I do to report the unauthorized card use, request a refund, and find out whether Apple can identify the account connected to my card?

Tell your bank that the card itself has been compromised, not just that you want to dispute one Apple transaction. Ask them to block the card, mark it as stolen or compromised, issue a replacement, and open a chargeback or unauthorized-payment investigation. Keep the email and transaction records as evidence.
Call Apple Support rather than relying on chat or searching through the account pages. They may be able to locate the transaction using the card details, flag the account as potentially fraudulent, and submit a refund request. Also ask them to prevent further charges from that account.
Contacting the merchant first is useful, but it doesn’t remove your bank’s responsibility to investigate an unauthorized card payment. If Apple can’t resolve it, go back to the bank and clearly state that the payment was unauthorized and came from an account you don’t own. Make sure the old card is fully blocked rather than merely replaced, since some services can automatically update stored card details.
