In Google Chrome on a Mac, inactive tabs can have a dotted-circle indicator. Does Safari use any visual change—such as fading or lightening—to show which tabs are inactive, or is the selected tab the only one treated as active?

Safari doesn’t noticeably change the appearance of inactive tabs. The tab you currently have selected is the active one, while the others generally look the same. You can still mute audio separately on individual tabs.

So the inactive tabs don’t become lighter either?
