My cousin has kept an iPhone that I purchased and continue to pay for, even though we're no longer on good terms. The Apple ID and phone number are in my name, but he disabled Find My iPhone, so I can't mark the device as lost or lock it remotely. Apple Support wasn't able to help. What steps can I take to protect my account, suspend the phone, and recover the device?

Gather proof that you bought the phone and pay for the service, then file a police report for the property being withheld. Contact your carrier and ask them to suspend the line and blacklist the device’s IMEI if they allow it. Change your Apple ID password, review trusted devices and phone numbers, and remove any payment methods or accounts the other person might access. Don’t try to take the phone back by force.

Find My was already turned off, so I can’t activate Lost Mode. I’ll contact the carrier about suspending the line and blocking the IMEI, then make a report with my purchase records.
