I currently use a 1080p monitor and want to add a 1440p display as my main gaming monitor, while keeping the 1080p screen as a second monitor. My planned system has a Radeon 9060 XT 16GB, an Intel Core i5-14400F, and 32GB of RAM. I'd mainly use the second screen for manga, Discord, music, or occasionally looking up a guide while the game is paused. For anyone using a similar setup, does the second monitor cause noticeable FPS drops or make it harder to stay above 60 FPS at 1440p?

A second monitor usually has almost no noticeable impact, especially when it’s only displaying a browser, Discord, or music. Performance may change slightly if you run another GPU-heavy application on it, play video with hardware acceleration, or use something like an animated wallpaper, but normal desktop use should be fine.
That setup should work well. I’m using the same GPU with a 1440p 180Hz main display and a 1080p 75Hz secondary monitor, and the second screen doesn’t affect performance in normal use. You’d mainly notice a difference if both screens are running demanding programs and you’re already maxing out the CPU, GPU, or RAM.
