If this is an apartment or another crowded building, nearby networks may be competing for the same Wi‑Fi channels. Try changing the router’s channel or leaving it on automatic. Use 5 GHz when you’re close to the router for less congestion, but 2.4 GHz may be more reliable through walls; the best choice depends on signal strength and interference.
Fiber improves the internet connection’s capacity, but it doesn’t automatically fix wireless interference, packet loss, or a bad route to a particular server. Check in-game ping and packet loss while testing, and compare Wi‑Fi with a wired connection before changing too many settings.
If Ethernet is also bad, the problem may be routing between your ISP and the game’s servers. A speed test can use a nearby server and look perfect while the game takes a poor route.
