I've recently jumped back into playing Minecraft after a couple of months, but I've hit a snag. When I try to launch Java edition 1.21.5 (without any mods) from the Microsoft store's Minecraft launcher, the game crashes when I click on multiplayer. The error I get is exit code -1073740791. I'm using an Nvidia 4070 Ti Super with the latest game ready drivers (576.28) and thought the issues with 40 series drivers were resolved. Could this be linked to the Nvidia drivers? Thanks for the suggestions, guys! I'll give the reinstall a shot and see if it fixes the problem.
If you're going to uninstall, you can use the uninstall button in the Minecraft launcher. No need to manually go into the .minecraft folder to delete anything unless you're having persistent issues. It’s usually easier to just do it through the launcher.
Have you tried uninstalling that version of Minecraft and reinstalling it? Sometimes a fresh install can solve these issues.
