I'm planning a completely new PC build in Croatia, with no existing parts or monitor to reuse. The main purpose is editing 4K 10-bit footage in DaVinci Resolve, while high-end 4K gaming is the second priority. I already have a keyboard, mouse, and headphones.
I need one monitor, ideally a 32-inch 4K model with a high refresh rate. OLED is appealing, but I'm open to a better-suited option for a mix of professional editing and gaming.
The total budget for the PC and monitor is a hard maximum of €5,000, though I don't necessarily want to spend all of it. If €3,000–€4,000 provides nearly everything I need, that would be preferable. I'm willing to spend closer to €5,000 only if the extra cost brings a meaningful improvement in editing performance, gaming, reliability, or longevity.
I can compare Croatian prices through local retailers and am also open to reputable EU stores if the savings justify ordering internationally. I'll use a wired network connection, have no strict case-size requirements, and value cooling, reliability, and reasonable noise levels more than RGB or appearance. I'm not committed to any CPU or GPU brand and would like recommendations focused on the best overall value and a sensible upgrade lifespan.

For DaVinci Resolve, an Nvidia GPU is generally the safer choice because CUDA and Nvidia’s video-encoding features are well supported. A GeForce RTX 5070 Ti may be the sweet spot if the goal is to avoid diminishing returns: the RTX 5080 is faster, but often costs substantially more while delivering a relatively modest improvement in many Resolve workloads. Choose the 5080 if maximum 4K gaming performance and a longer high-end performance window are more important than value.
A balanced build could use an RTX 5080, a modern high-performance CPU, 64GB of DDR5 memory, and separate NVMe drives for the operating system/apps and video projects. For heavy 4K editing, 64GB is a better starting point than 32GB, and additional storage may be worthwhile depending on the size of the footage library. A quality 850W–1000W Gold or Platinum power supply, a well-ventilated case, and strong air cooling would provide a good mix of reliability and low noise. German or other EU pricing may be useful for comparison, but local warranty and delivery costs should be factored in.
Be careful with heavily marked-up versions of the RTX 5080. Paying several hundred euros extra for a premium cooler or factory overclock usually provides very little real-world benefit, so compare the least expensive reputable models.
It is possible to stay well below €5,000 with a high-end gaming-focused build. An AMD Radeon RX 9070 XT, a strong gaming CPU such as the Ryzen 7 7800X3D, 32GB or 64GB of DDR5, a 2TB SSD, and a quality 1000W power supply could leave roughly €800–€900 for a 4K OLED monitor. That would be excellent for gaming, but Nvidia remains the more appropriate choice if DaVinci Resolve performance is a major priority, so the cheaper AMD route involves a compromise in the editing workload.

The 5070 Ti is good value, but it is more of an upper-tier option than an uncompromising high-end workstation and gaming card. The 5080 makes more sense if the budget allows and the system is expected to remain high-end for several years.
