I'm currently using an Intel Core i3-12100F with an RTX 5060 Ti 8GB and am considering a CPU upgrade. What processor would be a good match for this graphics card? I'd prefer to keep my existing motherboard and RAM if possible, but I haven't specified my motherboard model yet.

For a budget upgrade, the i5-12400F is a sensible minimum. If you want stronger gaming and general performance, look at the i5-12600K, i5-13600K, i5-14400F, or i5-14600K/F. The exact best choice depends on your motherboard, BIOS support, and whether its power delivery can handle the faster chips.

The i5-14600KF is probably the strongest balance among the suggested LGA1700 upgrades, but check your motherboard and update the BIOS first. Moving to a newer AMD platform could offer good performance too, but it would require replacing the motherboard and likely the memory, so it makes less sense if you’re trying to keep your current parts.

The Core i5-13400F is a solid all-around choice. It should work with your current motherboard and memory, provided the board supports it, and it’s well balanced with the RTX 5060 Ti. Update the motherboard BIOS before installing the new CPU.

That sounds like a pretty well-balanced combination.
