My ROCCAT Kone Air feels extremely sluggish, delayed, and floaty only while playing Fortnite. Mouse movement on the Windows desktop and in other applications feels completely normal. I tested both the mouse's 2.4 GHz wireless connection and another wired mouse, and they showed the same issue in Fortnite. However, a cheap $5 mouse works perfectly on the same PC with the exact same game settings. My monitor runs at 1920×1080 and 100 Hz, and I'm using an RTX 4060. Could a Fortnite setting, mouse polling rate, driver, NVIDIA option, or configuration issue be causing certain mice to feel like they have smoothing or acceleration?

Check the mouse polling rate in the ROCCAT software. A very high polling rate can sometimes cause odd input behavior in games. Try lowering it to 1000 Hz or even 500 Hz, then restart Fortnite and test again.

That was it—lowering the polling rate fixed the problem. Thanks so much!
