I updated my iPhone 12 to iOS 26.6.1 last night, and since then videos in YouTube, Instagram, and Facebook have stopped working properly. YouTube videos usually remain stuck before playback, while Instagram reels play for about half a second and then pause indefinitely. On the one occasion a YouTube video did play, there was no audio. I've already restarted the phone and toggled Bluetooth off and on, but I don't use any external Bluetooth accessories. Phone calls and games still have sound, so the problem seems limited to video playback. The apps are updated as well. Has anyone experienced this or found a fix?

Check the App Store for updates for YouTube, Instagram, and Facebook too. A system update can sometimes expose compatibility problems until the individual apps receive their own updates.
Since calls and games still have audio, this doesn’t sound like a general speaker or Bluetooth problem. It appears to be affecting video playback across several apps. It may be worth checking whether the issue continues in other video apps and, if it does, force-closing or reinstalling the affected apps.
I only mentioned Bluetooth because toggling it was suggested elsewhere. There isn’t an accessory connected, and the problem is limited to videos in YouTube, Instagram, and Facebook.

I checked, but all three apps are already up to date.
