I ordered a supposedly new 9060 XT from Amazon, sold and shipped directly by Amazon, but the package had an LPN label. When I opened it, the graphics card inside was clearly a different model. After I return it, where would you recommend buying a new GPU to reduce the chance of getting a returned or swapped item?

My rough preference would be Micro Center first, then Newegg when Newegg is the actual seller, followed by Best Buy. Amazon has a good return policy, but returned-component and package-swap problems seem common enough that I’d be more cautious with expensive GPUs.
Newegg can be fine as long as the listing is sold and shipped by Newegg itself. Check that the seals and packaging are intact, then compare the serial number on the card with the box before installing it.
If you have a physical store nearby, that’s probably the least stressful option. You can inspect the box before leaving, and it’s much easier to resolve a problem in person.
Best Buy is a little out of the way for me, but the extra peace of mind would probably be worth it.
For the most straightforward experience, I’d choose in-store pickup at Best Buy or another local retailer. Some builders even open the package at the counter so any issue is documented immediately.
Amazon’s return process is definitely convenient, and I’ve personally had good luck buying components there. I wouldn’t call Newegg automatically better, but buying directly from a retailer instead of a marketplace seller is the important part.
