I'm upgrading my PC soon and want to replace my current monitor with a 27-inch 1440p display running at 165Hz or higher. Most of my budget is going toward the new PC, so I'm hoping to spend around €300 or less. It doesn't need to be OLED—I'm mainly looking for something with good image quality, smooth gaming performance, and decent reliability.

The AOC Q27G4XD is worth checking out if you can find it on sale or refurbished. It’s a 27-inch IPS display with 1440p resolution, 180Hz refresh, and HDR. It doesn’t have built-in speakers, but I found one for about €150 and it was a great deal.

OLED would look better, but it’s generally outside this budget. For around €300 or less, a good IPS monitor is likely the better balance of image quality, refresh rate, and price.

I’d definitely consider OLED if it were cheaper, but most of the models I’ve seen are well beyond my budget.

Check local sales and compare models available in your country. Once you find a monitor with the right resolution and refresh rate, look up a few independent reviews to check for issues like poor motion handling, backlight bleed, or a weak stand.

KTC has some affordable options. A 32-inch curved 1440p model with 165Hz has worked well for me, and the 180Hz version was selling for around €190. The Iiyama G-Master Red Eagle is another solid choice if you prefer 27 inches; the 144Hz version can sometimes be found near €160.
