My laptop has been crashing with the Hypervisor Error 0x20001 blue screen for several months. I may have tried disabling the related feature before, but I'm not sure what caused the problem or which settings are safe to change. What does this error usually indicate, and what steps should I take to identify and fix it?

The most useful next step is to collect the Windows crash dump files. Check C:WindowsMinidump and copy any files you find there to another folder, then compress them into a ZIP archive for analysis. If no dumps exist, configure Windows to create Small Memory Dumps and check again after the next crash. Several dump files are better than a single one because they can show whether the same driver or component is involved.
