Is a Ryzen 7 5800X3D worth it for improving CS2 FPS on AM4?

I'm currently running a Ryzen 5 5600X, RTX 4070, 32GB DDR4-3133 CL16, and a B550 motherboard with a 1280×960 240Hz monitor. I mainly play CS2 and average roughly 200 FPS, especially when playing with FACEIT Anti-Cheat enabled. Premier gives me noticeably higher FPS, so the anti-cheat may be contributing to the lower performance.

My 5600X has also been overclocked for most of its life, so I'm considering replacing it with a Ryzen 7 5800X3D while keeping the rest of the system. I'd prefer not to move to a newer platform yet because that would require a new motherboard and DDR5 memory, making the upgrade much more expensive.

Would upgrading from a 5600X to a 5800X3D—or perhaps a 5700X3D—provide a meaningful improvement in CS2, particularly to average FPS and 1% lows? I'd like to keep this computer for another couple of years. I'm especially interested in experiences from people who made this specific upgrade. Should I buy an AM4 X3D processor, check my memory and system configuration first, or simply tolerate around 200 FPS and save for a future platform upgrade?

An X3D chip can help CS2, especially with frame-time consistency, but the price matters. A 5700X3D is often the more sensible AM4 upgrade if it is substantially cheaper. A 5800X3D only makes sense if you can find one at a reasonable price; paying premium money for an end-of-platform processor is difficult to justify. If you move to a newer platform, aim for a clearly faster X3D processor rather than making an expensive sidegrade.
