My AirPods Pro charging case has suddenly started cycling between charging and disconnecting. This happens with both USB-C and MagSafe: it charges for about a second, stops, then repeats continuously. My phone also behaves strangely when connected to them. I've had the AirPods for around a year, and this is the first time I've seen this issue. What could be causing it, and is there anything I can try before getting the case serviced?

This sounds like the charging case may be failing, especially since it happens with both wired and MagSafe charging. Try cleaning the charging contacts and checking with another cable or power adapter, but if the problem continues, the case may need to be replaced. Whether that replacement is covered depends on your warranty or AppleCare coverage.
The one-year warranty ends on October 13, but I’m in the Czech Republic and I’m not sure whether Apple offers replacement cases here. I’ll have to check with support or an authorized service provider.
