My family is consolidating the accounts I use under my own email address. Minecraft was purchased using my mom's Microsoft account, but she doesn't play it and I'm the only person who uses the game. Is there any way to move the purchase or license from her account to mine, or an alternative workaround?

Unfortunately, Microsoft purchases and game licenses are tied permanently to the account that bought them, so they can’t be transferred to another Microsoft account. The practical options are to keep using the game through your mom’s account or purchase it again on your own account.

That’s disappointing, but thanks for clarifying. I was hoping there might be a way to move the license without buying it again.
