Help! My Eyoyo Barcode Scanner Won’t Work with SumUp POS

I recently got a SumUp POS Tablet system and purchased an Eyoyo EY-2200 barcode scanner to use with it. The scanner works perfectly when I connect it to a PC, and I can scan barcodes without any issues—the numbers show up in a text document. However, when I try to use it with my SumUp POS Tablet, it doesn't input the data. The scanner powers on, and I hear the familiar beep, but the scanned data just doesn't go through. I've looked through the user manual for solutions but haven't had any luck. I'm really hoping someone can help me figure out what might be going wrong or if I'm missing something. Thanks in advance for any help!

I recommend contacting SumUp support to see if there's a specific Wedge setting that needs to be configured on the scanner. Most scanners need to be set to send an enter/return signal after scanning, which might be the key here. You can check SumUp's list of compatible scanners, but it sounds like you'll have to configure yours since it’s not listed.

I did check their compatibility list, but I didn’t get any replies from either Eyoyo or SumUp support. They claim it should work with any HID scanner, but I'm not having any luck. I’ll reach out to them again just in case.

Have you thought about reaching out to the vendor for help? That's usually a good first step when you're stuck like this. They might have some insight into the issue you're facing.

I actually tried that, but I've been waiting for a response for three days without any luck. That's why I'm here looking for other solutions!
