My Apple account appears to have been hacked. The attacker changed nearly all of the security information, although the password still seems unchanged. I can't make changes to the account, and calling Apple Support hasn't led to any progress. The Genius Bar also said they couldn't help. My MacBook keeps showing pop-ups asking me to unlock the Apple account to continue using iCloud on this device, but I can't dismiss or remove them. Is there still a way to recover the account or disconnect it from my MacBook?

If the MacBook is still signed in to the same account, check whether you can enable two-factor authentication from the account settings. If you can’t, contact Apple’s account-recovery or Activation Lock support and be prepared to provide proof that you own the device, such as the original purchase receipt from an authorized seller.

Unfortunately, I can’t enable two-factor authentication from the MacBook. The support page I found also seems intended for devices that are already completely locked, so I’m still stuck.
