I'm looking for a system that can run modern games smoothly while also handling DaVinci Resolve video editing and Ableton Live music production. My budget is roughly $2,000–$2,500 AUD, and I'm wondering whether that's enough for a semi-high-end build. I don't know much about choosing PC parts, so a family friend will probably source and assemble everything. I've put together a possible parts list and would appreciate feedback on compatibility, value, and whether the component choices suit these workloads.

For this budget, a Core i5-14600K with 32GB of RAM and a Radeon RX 9070 XT could offer excellent overall gaming performance and should be a major improvement over the proposed build. Make sure the power supply, cooling, and motherboard are suitable for the processor and graphics card.
The graphics card choice deserves some thought because DaVinci Resolve generally benefits from Nvidia’s CUDA support and video-encoding features. Even though the 9070 XT may be faster in many games, an Nvidia card such as an RTX 5060 Ti could be the better fit if video editing is a major priority.
