Hey everyone! I recently bought a new PC with an RTX 3070 Ti GPU, an i5-14400F CPU, and 32GB of RAM, and I'm trying to play Fortnite. Unfortunately, I'm experiencing frustrating stuttering every few seconds, which makes it almost unplayable. I've tried all sorts of fixes over the past few days but nothing seems to help. I would really appreciate any advice you can offer!

You might want to check for any signs of damage on the CPU or motherboard, like burn marks. Also, keep an eye on your SSD temperatures while gaming; that can sometimes be a culprit too.
It sounds super frustrating! First things first, have you tried using DDU to completely uninstall your GPU drivers and then reinstalling them? That can often solve a lot of performance issues. Also, make sure to check the CPU and GPU temperatures while gaming—HWInfo is a great tool for that. If they’re both running cool, let’s dig deeper into your setup!
Just a suggestion for future posts: it helps to be more specific about your issues in the title and detail what you’ve tried. You mentioned tweaking permissions and settings, but outlining exactly what you did or posting a video could help others see what's going wrong. It’s all about providing the full picture!
That’s fair! I tried several things like setting the power plan to high performance, debloating the PC, and overclocking the GPU, but nothing seems to work. I only get stuttering when I load into Fortnite; otherwise, everything seems fine.
Honestly, if nothing else works, it might be worth considering a CPU and motherboard upgrade. I've heard the 14th Gen Intel can be a bit hit or miss with certain games. A switch to AMD might give you better performance overall.
The previous owner ran demanding games without any issues. While the stuttering happens intermittently, it can run smoothly at times. Upgrading is tough right now, but I’ll keep that in mind.
My CPU and GPU temps are around 50-60 degrees, which seems fine. I did reinstall Fortnite already, but I haven't scrubbed the drivers yet, so I'll give that a shot.
