Will my Corsair RM850 (2019) work with the Radeon 9070 XT?

I'm trying to figure out if my Corsair RM850 (2019) Gold power supply can support the Radeon 9070 XT graphics card. I found on Corsair's site that this PSU is fully modular, but I'm not sure about the connectors. The 9070 XT requires a 12vhpwr connection, but my PSU doesn't seem to have that. Can I use the EPS/ATX12V 8 pin (4+4) cable together with the PCIe 8 pin (6+2) cable? Or do I need to get a new power supply entirely? I'd really appreciate any help since I'm not very familiar with power supply ports.

You're right to check! Typically, the Radeon 9070 XT will come with a PCIe 8 pin to 12vhpwr adapter, which can be super helpful. Just make sure your power supply has enough 8-pin connectors—usually, they need about three for optimal performance.

Thanks for the info! So, just to clarify, do I definitely need a new power supply, or can the adapters work? I really don’t know much about these pin setups.

Honestly, if your PSU has enough 8 pins, you might be able to get away with just using the adapters. No need to rush into buying a new PSU unless you're short on connectors. Good luck!
