What Are the Best Barcode Labels for LTO 7/8 Tapes?

I know it's a bit of a basic question, but I'm looking for advice on the best brand or model for barcode labels to use on LTO 7/8 tapes. We bought a new batch of tapes last year and I've been using some old Avery labels we had lying around. The problem is that after using the tapes just a couple of times, the labels start peeling and falling off, which is really frustrating. So I'd love to hear what you all have found works well!

Just a heads-up, the tapes already come with a barcode for inventory purposes. I’m curious why you need to put stickers on them in the first place?

I print my own barcode labels on self-adhesive paper and then cut them out. There are some websites that let you create and print them for free! But I did have the same issue with labels peeling off after some use, so I totally understand your frustration.

Yeah, I tried that too with Avery labels, but once they’re in the library, they just don’t stick at all. I’m on the hunt for labels that actually hold up.

HP actually sells pre-printed LTO barcode labels. They might be a bit pricey, but they work really well. You can find them on Amazon, and they usually come in packs of 100 plus some cleaning cartridge labels. Definitely worth considering if you're having issues with peeling labels.
