I accidentally splashed some water on my iPhone while I was in the shower, and later I got a fluid warning when I tried to charge it. I ignored the warning and it charged to about 10% before I unplugged it. However, it wouldn't charge again after that, even after resting for 5 hours. It's now been two days, and while cleaning the charging port, I found some dust. After cleaning more, it only charges at certain angles, but now it's back to not charging at all. I'm worried that my impatience might have caused some damage. Can anyone help me figure out what's wrong?

I had a similar issue with my iPhone 11. I used compressed air to blow out the charging port and let it sit for a few hours. After that, it magically started working again! Maybe give that a try!
Why did you ignore the fluid warning? If water got into the charging port and sat on the terminals, it likely caused corrosion. That's probably why it’s having trouble charging after that. Make sure it’s completely dry before trying again!
Would using a hairdryer help to dry it out more?
