Hey everyone! I'm thinking about upgrading my graphics card from an XFX 5700 to an RTX 3070 for about $180 more. I'm curious if the performance boost is really worth it. I have an R5 3600 CPU, and I'm using a TN 144Hz FHD monitor along with an IPS 100Hz FHD one. I plan to get an OLED 2K display in about three years when prices drop. Honestly, I find it hard to notice the differences in gameplay between medium and ultra settings in those comparison videos. I mostly play single-player games like Clair Obscur and consider myself a casual gamer. Also, would DLSS make a difference?

I’d suggest saving up to get something with at least 10 GB of VRAM if you're aiming for 2K gaming. The 3070 might struggle with upcoming single-player games. Consider alternatives like the RX 6800 XT, 3080, or even the 4070 for better performance. They could serve you well for a longer time.
Shouldn’t DLSS help with 2K gaming? Also, the 3080 is more than I’d want to spend, like $450-$500 used where I live. Plus, if I go beyond 3070, I might need a new CPU and my 650W power supply might not cut it.
