My current PC has an Intel Core i7-6700K, 16 GB of RAM, a GeForce GTX 1070 with 8 GB of VRAM, a 112 GB SSD, and a 932 GB hard drive. What would I likely need to upgrade before GTA 6 arrives on PC? I've seen suggestions that replacing only the graphics card might be enough, but I'm not sure whether the older processor, motherboard, and storage will also be limiting factors.

There aren’t any official PC system requirements yet, and the game is launching on consoles first. Until the developer announces a PC version and publishes requirements, any specific upgrade list is just speculation. It may be quite a while before the PC release, so there’s no need to upgrade based on guesses right now.
Your system is old enough that a graphics-card-only upgrade probably wouldn’t make much sense. The i7-6700K could hold back a modern GPU in a demanding open-world game, and you’d likely need a newer motherboard and processor as well. Your 16 GB of DDR4 might be reusable in some upgrade paths, but the rest of the platform would probably need replacing.
Plan on having a fast SSD with plenty of free space. Modern large games increasingly expect SSD storage, and your 112 GB SSD may not leave enough room once the operating system and other games are installed. The GTX 1070 and older CPU also lack the performance headroom and newer features that a future demanding release may require, so a complete new system is more realistic than upgrading one component.
That makes sense. I had assumed the PC version was releasing alongside the console version, so I’ll wait and save toward a new build instead of upgrading prematurely.
