I'm upgrading an OptiPlex 3080 Tower with an Intel Core i5-10505, a Dell 500W power supply, and an RX 5600 XT. I also want to install a better CPU cooler and three 80mm PWM case fans, but the motherboard only has one fan header. What's the safest and most practical way to connect everything? I'm also wondering whether the Dell case and motherboard will accept an aftermarket CPU cooler, since some Dell components use proprietary mounting or connectors.

Be careful with the CPU cooler specifically. Dell systems can use proprietary mounting brackets, fan connectors, and BIOS fan-speed checks, so an ordinary aftermarket cooler may not fit or may trigger warnings. Confirm the OptiPlex 3080 Tower’s socket clearance, mounting pattern, and connector requirements before replacing it.
One option is to use PWM fans that support daisy chaining, such as Arctic P8 PST models. Each fan can connect to the next, allowing several fans to run from one motherboard header. Just make sure the combined power draw stays within the header’s rated limit.
A powered PWM fan hub is probably the cleanest solution. It lets the motherboard control multiple case fans from one header while drawing their power directly from the power supply. Check the connector type and available mounting space before buying one.
