What Should I Upgrade First With $300 CAD: RAM, Monitor, or CPU?

I have about $300 CAD available for an upgrade. My current setup includes a 1080p 180Hz monitor, a Ryzen 5 7600X, an RTX 5060 Ti with 16GB of VRAM, and 16GB of DDR5 RAM. I use the computer for 3D animation and mostly play Apex Legends, along with heavily modded Minecraft and large-world generation. Would I get the biggest benefit from upgrading my RAM, monitor, or CPU?

I’d start with another 16GB DDR5 stick and move to 32GB. That should help a lot with 3D animation and heavily modded Minecraft, where 16GB can become a limitation. Just make sure the new kit matches your current RAM as closely as possible, or replace the kit entirely if needed.

The CPU would be my last choice. A Ryzen 5 7600X is still plenty capable, and with a 5060 Ti, a CPU upgrade probably won’t make a meaningful difference in most of the games you mentioned. If your RAM usage isn’t hitting the limit during animation, a monitor would be the more noticeable upgrade.
