I've had this PC since August last year, and it performed well at first. With my RX 9060 XT, I usually got over 200 FPS in games like Overwatch and Apex, and around 300 FPS in Minecraft with shaders. Eventually, my frame rates were cut roughly in half, my ping increased, and performance started feeling inconsistent. I suspected repeated driver installations and removals might have caused a conflict. I recently replaced the graphics card with an RTX 5070, but the low performance remains. Minecraft is especially bad, sometimes reaching only about 24 FPS at its highest. My CPU is a Ryzen 7 9800X3D, and I've already tried using Display Driver Uninstaller without seeing any improvement. What else should I check?

Make sure the game is actually using the RTX 5070 rather than integrated graphics, and check that the monitor cable is connected to the graphics card. Leftover AMD drivers could also cause conflicts, so completely removing both driver packages is worth trying. Check Minecraft’s video settings too, especially render distance, shader settings, frame limits, and whether any frame-generation or latency feature is enabled.
Run Display Driver Uninstaller from Safe Mode and remove both the AMD and NVIDIA display drivers, not just the drivers for the card currently installed. It can also help to prevent Windows Update from automatically installing a driver during the cleanup. Afterward, install the latest NVIDIA driver directly through the NVIDIA app or installer.
