Is ChatGPT Gaslighting Me or Just Buggy?

I'm feeling really frustrated with my recent interactions with ChatGPT. I uploaded two reference images for a project I'm working on, and the tool claimed that the images were 'locked in' with the facial features set. Then, it produced some confusing results and insisted that no reference images were uploaded, even naming the files I had submitted. It kept doubling down on this incorrect claim, and I'm left running in circles with my time wasted. Is anyone else experiencing similar issues?

Funny you mention gaslighting; I've felt the same way with ChatGPT lately. It's really messing with my head!

I haven't touched a cigarette in 5 years, and now I'm ready to run to the store! This is insane!

Look, ChatGPT is just a tool. Sure, it makes mistakes, but the way we respond can influence how we use it. It's all about figuring out how to adapt!

I've been using it smoothly for a month, and this is the first real issue I've faced. Appreciate your smug comment! Have a nice day too!

It's frustrating when these models make mistakes, but instead of arguing, try starting a new thread with a fresh prompt. The model can get confused in lengthy conversations and might trip over its previous errors.

I'll give that a shot. Thanks! I've wasted my whole night on this!

I did the same, and honestly, it feels like ChatGPT has zero consistency now. Gonna take a breather for a bit.

I think it's less about gaslighting and more about running into a bug. Definitely contact support to report this; LLMs can be buggy and sometimes give unhelpful responses.
