I just got a new gaming PC with some decent specs, including a Ryzen 7 5800x CPU, an RTX 3070Ti 8GB GPU, 32GB of 3200mhz RAM, and a 1TB ADATA NVME SSD. But I'm having an issue where no matter how I tweak the graphics settings in games like Rust, my FPS is stuck in the 40s. In Battlefield 2042, it's around 50 FPS. I'm seriously considering selling it or upgrading some parts. Any advice on what I should do?

What resolution are you playing at? This rig should handle most games well. If you're running at 1440p or 4K on high settings, that could explain the lower FPS since VRAM might be a factor. 1080p should run fine, though!
At 4K, 50 FPS isn't too bad for Rust. But I'm curious about the settings you're using. If you're playing on very low settings and still seeing low FPS, it might be something else at play.
Yeah, I'm on very low settings.
Your PSU is pretty low quality, and while that might not directly cause FPS drops, it's something to keep in mind. Are you running your games on 4K ultra settings with a midrange GPU?
No, I'm keeping settings as low as possible.
1080p on your setup is fine! The games you’re playing have different performance issues. Rust is huge and not well-optimized, and Battlefield tends to run better on AMD cards. If you're looking to improve Rust performance, maybe consider a 5700x3d for better stability—it’s CPU-heavy and will help with FPS.
I'm at 1920 x 1080 and using low settings.
