Which Frameworks Should I Use to Build a Job-Ready Website?

I'm starting my first project and want to build a website using HTML, CSS, and JavaScript. However, I'm unsure what the latest or most commonly used framework is that employers look for in the job market. My last experience was with Elementor and WordPress, where I learned a lot about UX/UI, but I struggled to write decent code during interviews, leaving me feeling unprepared. I'm eager to improve and want to know where to begin as I'm still a complete newbie.

There isn't just one framework that's the best. My advice? Check out job postings in the field you're interested in to see what's in demand. Most frameworks are similar, and once you know one, it’s easier to pick up others later. Also, remember that the newest framework isn't necessarily the one employers want; many jobs are still for older, more established technologies.

Start with the basics! Get comfortable with vanilla HTML, CSS, and JavaScript before diving into any frameworks. It's crucial to understand the fundamentals, and then you can look at what's commonly used in companies that interest you. The 'latest' tech often isn't what companies are using; they prefer tried-and-true methods.

Honestly, just look at the main differences among frameworks to find one that resonates with you. For interviews, you can mention, 'I used this framework, which is similar to the one in the job description.' React and Next.js are popular choices, and that's what I recommend based on my year of experience.

Honestly, it doesn't matter too much which framework you choose at this point. I made mine with Gleam, and while it's nice, it won’t flood you with job offers. What really matters is what you create on your site. Focus on showcasing solid projects instead of getting too hung up on technology. Also, what do you mean when you say you couldn't produce decent code during interviews?
