I received an ONN headset for my birthday yesterday, but I haven't been able to connect it to the included USB dongle after trying for several hours. The headset remains stuck in pairing mode. It connects normally over Bluetooth, but it won't connect to the USB adapter. I've already tried different USB ports and confirmed that my system is fully updated. What else should I check?

Try another USB port, preferably one directly connected to the computer rather than through a hub, and check whether the headset or dongle needs a manufacturer driver or firmware update. Also make sure the dongle appears as an audio device in your system’s sound settings.
First confirm the exact headset model and what type of dongle it is. Some headsets are Bluetooth-only, while others use a dedicated wireless adapter. A dedicated adapter usually comes pre-paired and doesn’t use normal Bluetooth pairing mode—you plug it in, install any required software, turn on the headset, and select the adapter as both the audio input and output device. If the dongle is supposed to be pre-paired but the headset never recognizes it, the adapter or headset may need a specific reset or replacement-pairing procedure.
