Is It Possible to Learn Web Development in 6 Months?

Hey everyone! I'm really eager to dive into web development and I'm wondering if I can realistically learn it all in about 6 months. I have around 5-6 hours a day to dedicate to this for a maximum of 7 months, but I'm aiming for 6. I've got some basic programming knowledge, though not in JavaScript yet, and I'd consider myself a beginner. My plan is to tackle The Odin Project from scratch. Any advice or stories from those who've been in my shoes? Thanks!

Honestly, it really depends on how you approach it. Sure, 6 months is enough time to get started, but don’t expect to be a pro immediately. The journey's more about enjoying the learning process than just hitting a deadline!

I get that! Focusing too much on that deadline can take the fun out. Just enjoy learning and build as you go!

It's totally feasible to learn the basics in that time, but you'll definitely need to focus! Start with HTML and CSS, then get into JavaScript and the MERN stack if that's your goal. It'll be a whirlwind, but you'll learn tons!

Thanks for the tips! I’ll make a note to start with the basics and see where that leads me!

6 months is a decent timeframe to see if you enjoy web development. Focus on learning the foundational stuff first. After that, everything tends to click together as you build projects. Just remember, it’s about gradually building your skills!

Good to know! I’ll keep the long-term experience in mind and just focus on getting through the basics.
